The McDades with Globalscope
Mexico
Nathan and Erin McDade are newlyweds (7/03) and graduates of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Nathan received his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Erin in Industrial Design. Both were heavily involved in the Georgia Tech Christian Campus Fellowship, where each served as an intern in his/her first year after graduation. Erin has since received her Masters degree in Christian Doctrine from Emmanuel School of Religion, where Nathan has completed a year of classes. In addition to their campus ministry experience, they both have experience in missions. Erin served as a summer intern to missionaries in Maipu, Chile, and Nathan was an exchange student in Mexico City with the first Globalscope campus ministry team during their inaugural semester.

Seeing first-hand the power of a loving, Christ-centered campus community at Georgia Tech, the McDades and their teammates are currently planting a campus ministry in Puebla, Mexico with Globalscope. Globalscope is the result of a revolutionary idea combining the basic concepts of effective campus ministry with the willingness to go to the ends of the earth to spread the truth of Jesus Christ. It is the child of two dynamic and effective ministries - the Georgia Tech Christian Campus Fellowship (GTCCF) and Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMF). Targeting the top universities in nations around the world, Globalscope campus ministry teams seek to reach tomorrow's leaders - teachers, businesspeople, legislators, people of influence - with the truth of the gospel.

The McDades are a part of a team of 4 other international campus ministers working to plant a campus ministry at the Universidad de las Americas (UDLA). UDLA was founded in 1940 as Mexico City College and in 1970 it moved to Puebla where it became the "Universidad de las Americas - Puebla." It covers 175 acres at the foot of the famous pyramid of Cholula. UDLA was recently ranked as the top university in all of Mexico, and hosts exchange students from around the world in addition to consistently sending out some of Mexico's most prepared graduates.
