University of Georgia Christian Campus Fellowship Athens, Georgia
Christian Campus Fellowship (CCF) is a non-denominational Christian fellowship at the University of Georgia. Our goal is to be the family of God at UGA and a home away from home for your students while they're in Athens. CCF is a place where students and staff can make friends and grow closer to God. CCF isn't concerned with externals like what clothes they wear, what color their hair is, or how many tattoos they have. We are concerned about where they are in their walk with God. CCF cares about EACH UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT and wants EACH OF THEM to be a part of the CCF family! Those outside of Christ we want to bring to Him; those in Christ we want to bring closer to Him! The CCF week begins at our Campus House at 1080 S. Milledge Ave. (across from the Tri-Delta Sorority) at 6:45 p.m. each Thursday with a FREE meal, provided by supporting churches, Sunday School classes, or brave individuals. The meal precedes TGIT! (Thank God its Thursday!) at 7:30pm. Worship, praise, testimonies, and challenging teaching are the norm for the next hour. Thursday evenings are times of Worship, Witness and Word. But this is just the start. Knowing that community is built mostly in small clusters, CCF provides multiple opportunities to study the Bible together in small groups. In addition CCF also has retreats, service projects, an annual Spring Break mission trip, intramurals, and social events. CCF's Campus House is also the residence for 13 lucky coeds Tim & Sheila Hudson (21st year at CCF), Angela Denton Rachel (12th year at CCF) and new staff Russell Wall & Sharla Wilson (1st year at CCF) minister as the fulltime CCF staff. A typical week at CCF includes student brainstorming meetings (including creative ministry and praise and worship: about 30 students learn leadership skills annually at CCF); small groups meetings throughout the week; TGIT!; social events; men, women, and co-ed intramurals; and daily individual meetings with students. For 27 years CCF has been touching one student at a time with the Gospel of Grace.
